Welcome to the premier episode of Unwind, the show that’s guaranteed to melt away the stress of your day! I’ve got a relaxing mix of sweet pop, acoustic rock, and smooth jazz by some of the best artists on the Podsafe Music Network all lined up for your listening pleasure. So just lay back, close your eyes, and prepare to unwind…
A bit late, but I’ve been a busy girl, as you shall hear/see! This is the premier of my new glasses, sorry about the glare… I spill the beans on my big new podcast project (launching next week!), lament the recent status of my Thursday date, rip Factory Girl a new one – particularly the whole Edie and Bob Dylan “love” thing (scroll down a bit…) – and proclaim, “I am nerd!”
Here’s that 3rd episode I mentioned last week… I am launching a brand new project on March 5th, so that may have some affect on whether Lovely Ladies happens weekly or fortnightly, but I’m having a lot of fun, so I’m sure I’ll keep doing them pretty regularly. Haven’t selected an exact drop day (ie Tuesdays, Thursdays et al) so just keep checking back for more!

Looks like the vidcast is staying weekly! This week I freak out at the optometrist and gross out on the discovery of the source of the “stinky cat box smell” I mentioned last week. I also talk about my recent collaboration with Moosefrog, working on the Lovespirals and Love Spirals Downwards websites, my new Lovely Ladies music podcast, working with The Lounge King on Mix96, stealing Rogue and Ronnoc from Rumor Girls, and more.
Thanks for all the comment love on the first episode everybody! Hope you enjoy this selection of dreamy, melancholic, wistful indie pop and folk rock just as much. I know I said I was going to do this podcast fortnightly, but I’ll let you in on a little secret: I already put together the 3rd episode’s playlist! Hey, do me a favor and spread the word to all your music loving friends, ok?
I’m sitting here trying to figure out whether to announce my new podcast, Lovely Ladies, as “biweekly” or “bimonthly” to indicate that it will happen every other week. Looking up both words on the Apple dashboard dictionary is no help at all! Apparently, both words are ambiguous. Biweekly can mean either every other week or twice a week, and bimonthly can mean twice a month or every two months. Drats! Perhaps I should call it “fortnightly”?
In any case, please download my promo to play on your podcast :
The debut episode of my new show celebrating the female voice in music! From pop and rock, to jazz and soul, to electronica and world music, I’ve scoured the Internet to bring you a magical mix of Podsafe music featuring female vocals.
Can’t stop making these dang things… More of my latest doings, including the newest Lovespirals recording, my new celebrity yard sale dress, and details of my trip to the Queen Mary. Be forewarned that I used a different format for the show this week. I think I’ll go back to the old one next time. OH RATS – I didn’t update the episode number in the art. Sigh… Nevertheless, please go Digg my podcasts now!
A little late this week, but better late than never, right? Quick wrap up on my week’s activities, including my little Paul & Price boo boo, conversing with the irrepressible Jules, and recording with Lovespirals, plus discussion of the vidcast viewership and it’s future release schedule, birthday plans, book reading update etc… If you love the vidcast, be sure to comment this week!
Julien Smith and I were reunited this week for another off-the-cuff conversation via Skype. We chat about anything and everything including the effects of podcast celebrity, avoiding parenthood, Julien’s Listen To Your Kids podcast, Homeless Nation, my Chillin’ with Anji Bee vidcast, podcast conferences and fanboy-dom, women podcasters, the podcast hype game, the importance of change, and more. I’m numbering this episode 49, just FYI…
Warning:Julien has a potty-mouth. Warning 2:This episode is an hour long.
