I don’t know if you’re following me via social media or not, but if you are, then you most likely know that I’ve been going through a rough time recently. I lost my cat of 19 years, Monster, who was born in my house and died in my arms. I’d been giving him intensive care for the past year, as he suffered from 3 strokes and had both kidney disease and high blood pressure, so it wasn’t a surprise, but it still hurts so much. Monster loved music, so this episode is dedicated to him. <3

I’m still super hooked on spacey ambient-edged chillstep, lovestep — whatever you want to call it — and this episode is filled with some great new finds in that genre base. I’m finding more producers introducing some of the hallmarks of this sound into their repertoire, which has resulted in some very interesting genre cross pollination.
