Woo hoo! I’ve got a full hour of deep house and dance music for your 4th of July chillin’ pleasure. No talking in-between tracks, just an intro and outro. Perfect for your summertime barbeques or get-togethers in any country… Plus an exclusive track from Todd Terry and a special guest intro!
I’ve been wanting to do some more conversational Skype podcasts like the two I did with Julien Smith (Chillcast/In Over Your Head Special and Chillcast/In Over Your Head Special #2). Turned out that fellow podsafe musician and podcaster, Matthew Ebel, had some time to kill this week while chillin’ in Boston, so we thought it’d be fun to hook up for an informal chat about our common interests – music and podcasting, as well as everything that goes along with doing those things full time. I hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as we did recording it, and I look forward to your feedback on the idea of me doing Skypecasts more regularly. (BTW, I sure was tempted to call this the High Chill Special…)
Warning: a teensy bit of naughty language sneaks in here and there…
I’ve been popping up on various podcasts lately, which is always fun. Today Adam Curry played my new Help PodShow Suck Less theme song on Daily Source Code #615, yesterday my audio feedback intrigued Eric on Let’s Get Naughty #35, and Tuesday my boy Clarence opened Do You Know Clarence #11 with a special drop I recorded for him. Earlier this week, I introduced “Motherless Child” by my band, Lovespirals, on Sunday Sundown #24 and Ryan and I both introduced the same song for C.C. Chapman’s Accident Hash #231. Come to think of it, I was also on Daily Source Code #613 with a reply to Adam’s crack that I “sent a naked picture.” Sigh…
Checked out CocaCola’s Virtual Thirst Pavilion at the Crayonville Amphitheatre in Second Life. I love the vintage truck display. Heard Matthew Ebel‘s classic podsafe track, “Drive Away,” while sitting inside the truck – good call! Britney, Lynette, and CC himself all showed up while I was there, which was cool. Got some pix and threw them up on Flickr. CC got some nice shots, as well. I asked him if there will be a party in the pavilion. With all the bubbly Coke cans, it would be quite festive!
First off, don’t ask me why it’s 7 songs and not 5 songs or 10 songs. All I know is that sexy Mr. Smithtagged me and since I do nothing but listen to music all day I can come up with 7 songs standing on my head. Opinion varies on whether these should be podsafe, free downloads, recent releases etc… I’m kinda going by what iTunes says I’ve been playing the past few weeks (besides the Lovespirals mixes from the CD we’re working on…) For your perusal:
This was just too fun! Saw Britney‘s chatter on Twitter about meeting up with TheDiva, Lynnete, and Madison at Crayon and couldn’t resist popping in! Seriously, I am leaving my computer and the house for awhile today. Now!
Logged into Second Life a few times this week. Attended the Dean Koontz reading yesterday, chillin’ at the Crayonville amphitheater. Every time I see CC in game, there’s too much going on for us to really chat, and then the event is over and he logs out. Sigh. I always meet someone cool when he’s around though! This time it was a vintage designer who liked my hair, and a gal name Absolut Smirnov who runs a vintage themed event, called Rivers of Venus, Sundays at 4pm. I’m going to try to stop by soon.
Cali convinced me to join Twitter during the taping of our last episode of ShowGirls. I noticed that Share also joined! I have no idea how often I’ll post, but my first few minutes were pretty exciting. Hee hee hee…
Saw CC Chapman’s post about the 2000 Bloggers project and thought it sounded really fun, so I joined up myself yesterday. Next time I’ve got several hours to kill, I’m going to click on all the little photos to discover who the other folks are. I have to say that this was a pretty genius way for Tino and crew to get a ton of positive traffic.
