It’s been awhile since my last Happy Healthy Vegan travel vlog! Ryan and I took a much needed getaway trip to enjoy some nature in the Palm Springs area at Andreas Canyon. We also checked out Chef Tanya’s Kitchen for the first time. I hope you’ll feel relaxed by watching this chill day in the life video featuring the beauty of our California desert and music by my band, Lovespirals!
Positive Influence Zine On Instagram
In the lead up to releasing the Positive Influence anthology book on Shining Life Press, Anji has launched a new Instagram account. Follow @positiveinfluencezine for photos, artwork, behind the scenes stories and updates on the book launch. The new account will show a different side of Anji’s creativity, from pen and ink drawings, graphic design and layout, as well as live band photography. It will provide a unique look into the late 80’s So Cal hardcore punk scene with a focus on straight edge and posicore bands.

The Vegan Optimist Interviews Anji & Ryan
Anji and her Happy Healthy Vegan partner, Ryan, were recently interviewed by Ryan Tratner for his podcast, The Vegan Optimist.
“The Vegan Optimist is a podcast spreading positivity and optimism about the future of veganism. It is a place of learning focused on positive developments in all things vegan!”
It’s a pretty fun half hour conversation that goes into how we met, how/why we became vegan, and what lead to the creation of our YouTube channel, as well as our thoughts on veganism and vegan activism, how to go vegan, the lie of “humane” meat, plus a lightning round of couple questions. What stupid thing did we recently get into a fight over? Find out!

Margaritari (Love Me Leave Me – Wedding Edit) Out Now
The Morphism has released a very special remix of “Love Me Leave Me” on Bandcamp. This stripped down version was created as the First Dance song for his own wedding. Anton named the special edit “Maragaritari (Love Me Leave Me – Wedding Edit)” after his new wife, Margaritari. Congratulations to the beautiful couple! I’m honored to have been a part of your celebrations.
You can hear the original mix of “Love Me Leave Me” by The Morphism on the Anji Bee Bandcamp account:
Vegan Stories Podcast Interviews Anji & Ryan
Anji and her Happy Healthy Vegan partner, Ryan, were interviewed by Jeff of the Vegan Stories Podcast. This half hour chat goes back a bit into our history like how we met as a couple and when and why we went vegan, the effect our vegan diet had on our health and athletic performance, plus some talk about the debunking aspect of our YouTube channel, how Anji got started writing cookbooks and what went into them, and even some talk about our band, Lovespirals, and how Ryan got started with music making. Check it out at anchor.fm https://anchor.fm/veganstoriespodcast or Spotify or Apple Podcasts!
Mr. Alfa + Anji Bee Cover Fleetwood Mac
Back in 2014 Mr. Alfa hit me up to provide vocals for his electro pop cover of the legendary Fleetwood Mac song, “Landslide.” As a lifetime fan of the band I was a bit hesitant to take on this masterpiece. Hesitantly I recorded a sole vocal line and sent it off. Fast-forward 7 years and suddenly the song appeared on the Venus Recordings SoundCloud account!
Chillcast Valentine’s Day 2020 Mix On Mixcloud
SURPRISE! Bet you didn’t expect me to show up with a mix of love songs a few days *after* Valentine’s Day, did ya??? I’ve been contributing a Vday mix to the Cupid’s Hunt podcast collaboration since its inception in 2008, and I just couldn’t resist getting back into it again this year!!! You know I have trouble quitting The Chillcast, so it was a great excuse to go through all my unread music PR emails, scour the new releases on Soundcloud, and even hit up the freegal.com music site for cool new tunes in the theme of L-O-V-E. So get ready to kick back, relax, and let me soothe you and groove you once again for old time’s sake. <3
Lovespirals “Spinning Circles” Music Video
An official music video for the song “Spinning Circles” from our ‘Life Goes On’ album is out now on the Lovespirals YouTube channel.
Over the past 2-3 years I’ve been filming various scenes I thought would work well with the lyrical concept and I finally took the time to edit them together for this fun must video that contrasts black and white and super colorful scenes. The parasol scenes were shot on Laguna Beach during the performance of ‘The Shoreline Project’ by artist Elizabeth Turk. We had randomly been on site just as 1000 people converged for this performance piece, and it was quite surreal! The carousel and teacups ride scenes were both shot at Disneyland, and the stupa scene was shot at Maui Dharma Center in Paia.
Hope this video makes you smile!

Lovespirals “Life Goes On” Official Music Video
To celebrate the start of a new year, I put together a music video for the title track of our Lovespirals album, “Life Goes On,” featuring some of the more peaceful moments I filmed over the past 12 tumultuous months.
