Chillcast Video #72: Coury Palermo

This week I’m proud to present the world premier of a brand new video by Nashville artist, Coury Palermo. Coury has been a guest on The Chillcast audio show many times, for his solo work, as well as his collaborations with Sleepthief and his side-project, The Fury — but this is his first time on Chillcast Video. “Hush” is the stunning first single from his brand new album, The Broken Way We Love, out now on his own Wine&Vinyl records imprint. Get the deluxe digital version of the album including bonus tracks, photos, a digital booklet and more directly from www.courypalermo.com – and be sure to read this blog post about the making of the “Hush” video with Eli Mc Fadden. Listen to “Hush (Sleepthief Remix)” on the recent Chillcast #294: Girls & Boys.

Chillcast Video #71: Boom Clap Bachelors

This week’s musical guest is the Danish musical collective, Boom Clap Bachelors. “Løb Stop Stå” features Quadron vocalist, Coco O., who stars in the video. Coco is also featured on the new solo album by fellow band member, Vindahl, who I featured earlier this month on Chillcast Video. This track hails from the Mellem Dine Laeber EP, released by Plug Research Music in April of this year. The video was directed by Daniel Kragh-Jacobsen, who made it available as a free download on Vimeo. The song is also a free download on SoundCloud. I’ll be featuring it on The Chillcast with Anji Bee episode #291. Check out more links below the vid!

Chillcast Video #67: Hanna & Beatr8

Today’s musical guest is the Swedish duo of Hanna & Beatr8. I fell in love with Hanna’s voice from her collaborations with Stray (from the band Favorite Flava, with Hanna’s husband, Paul Mac Innes), so I was excited to see that she was releasing a full length album this year. From their self-titled debut album Hanna & Beatr8, this is “Flowers”. Listen for more of their tracks on The Chillcast weekly one hour audio podcast! Buy the Hanna & Beatr8 album on iTunes

Chillcast Video #65: Kenton Slash Demon

This week’s video is an intriguing mix of vintage 80’s nostalgia and futuristic dance music. I’m told that this video created for Copenhagen DJ duo, Kenton Slash Demon was made by Dark Matters using nails and string, rather than vector based computer programming. Wow! “Daemon” hails from Part 3 of the “The Schwarzchild Solution” trilogy, available through Tartelet Records. Kenton Slash Demon members Jonas Kenton and Silas Moldenhawer are also part of Denmark band When Saints Go Machine, and are joined by Saints’ bandmate, Nikolaj Vonsild, on guest vocals, alongside Jon Philpot of Brooklyn band, Bear in Heaven. There’s a few days left to enter the Nu Shooz Karaoke Video Contest for “I Can’t Wait (Powermix)”.
