After reading about it on the Friday Favecast blog today, I decided to join in the fun on the Cupid’s Hunt Project, since it just seems so obvious that The Chillcast should do a Valentine’s Day Special. I know I should probably be putting together a big 100th Episode for next Sunday, but since I’ve actually produced 129 episodes to date according to my PodShow stats, it doesn’t feel like the big milestone the number implies… Plus I just celebrated by 2 Year Anniversary of The Chillcast! At any rate, I’m having fun putting together a one hour playlist of songs about L-O-V-E for this Thursday, so stayed tuned to check it out on the big day, baby!

Solipsistic NATION Features Lovespirals
In honor of Valentine’s Day, the excellent Solipsistic NATION podcast is featuring Lovespirals! Bazooka Joe interviews Ryan and Anji via Skype about the band’s evolving sound, their musical history, the effect of technology on the band, the duo’s songwriting process, and much more. Interspersed with the interview are 7 full length songs — including several special permissions (non-podsafe) tracks — and a few of my side projects. The Chillcast Featured on PodfinderUK
This week’s PodfinderUK — Ep38, subtitled “Let’s Hear It For The Girls,” features The Chillcast with Anji Bee. A clip of Chillcast Episode #96 is shared, which includes a bit of “One Day” by Shine. Also featured this episode are my ShowGirls co-hostesses, the Rumor Girls and Cali Lewis, as well as fellow PodShow podcasters, Amy Mac, and Gill Mills of Flyposter.
Thanks to lovely show hostess, Jo Laurence, for the recommendation!
Anji Bee Guests On New Chandeen CD
I contributed vocals and lyrics to what will be a special “hidden” track on the upcoming new album by German band, Chandeen. Entitled Teenage Poetry, the 12 song disc is due out March 2008 on Chandeen’s own Kalinkaland label. As a free album preview for fans, the band are uploading one song per week (or so) to their MySpace page. This will be the first new Chandeen album in 5 years.
Lovespirals on Accident Hash Podcast #255
Talk about seminal music podcasts… The award winning PodShow podcast, Accident Hash turned 3 today and the show’s amazingly talented and sweet producer, C.C. Chapman, dedicated it the Troops. What a guy! Several podcasters — including Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff, Mike Yusi, Christopher Penn and me — recorded special holiday messages for the Troops, which are featured in this show. In addition to tracks by podsafe artists Matthew Ebel, RaykoKRB, Black Lab, Chance and many others, this episode includes Lovespirals’ “Motherless Child.” C.C. was the very first podcaster to hear Long Way From Home and we’ve got a mutual love thing going on with that man. Congrats on 3 years, CC!
Lovespirals on Coverville Podcast #409
The latest “indie edition” of the legendary Coverville podcast includes Lovespirals‘ rendition of the classic American Spiritual, “Motherless Child.” Ryan and I met Brian Ibbott at the Podcast and New Media Expo last year, where I was accepting an award for my work with the ShowGirls podcast. I slipped him a pre-release copy of our Long Way From Home CD, which he was very enthusiastic about, but what with one holiday after the other these past few months… well you know how these things go. We’re just stoked to make our 2nd appearance on this seminal podcast!

Oh my… I collaborated on a song with evil genius, Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff, for his zany new “audio book” project with fellow Pacific Coast Hellway producer, Mike Yusi. Folks have said that Pussy: The Musical is PodShow’s answer to Highschool: The Musical; does that make me Gabriella?
You can actually buy my track – as well as the rest of the songs used in Pussy: The Musical on eMusic!
