Ryan and I guest hosted Christopher Penn’s Student Loan Radio CoverCast #2 this weekend, and no — we didn’t talk about financial aid! The band were given the opportunity to share recordings of songs written by John Denver, America, and Pink Floyd, due to Financial Aid Podcast‘s recent acquisition of an ASCAP/BMI podcasting license. Woo hoo! Check it out, and if you enjoy it, please go comment on Chris’s blog to let him know!
The Chillcast is currently listed on the front page of the Radio Times Downloads listings page, along with a lovely little review that’s quite similar to one from David McCandless’ Good Podcast Guide review. Must say that I love being situated directly next to the Blair Archive!
“New Life (ft. Anji Bee)” from Moosefrog‘s new album, Adrift, is featured in the movie trailer of upcoming BR-Films snowboarding movie, Whatever. Its quite beautiful, seems like it should be a great film!
I contributed vocals and lyrics to two tracks on the latest Moosefrog EP, Adrift, on the Creative Commons based label, Lo-Kiwi. The entire 7-song release — including my tracks “New Life” and “En La Oscuridad” — are available for free download in zip file or individual mp3 format, and both podcasters and Internet radio DJs are more than welcome to include the songs in their playlists. Hope ya dig it!
PodfinderUK Episode 15 is a music special which features a sweet review of The Chillcast as the opening sequence – woo hoo! As the only lady podcaster – as well as the only American podcaster – included, I feel quite honored. BTW, the music clip is by Rebecca Haviland.
My ladyfriend, Chel Pixie, started a fansite for me on the Ning network this week. Super sweet of her! She – and I – would love it if you joined over at anjibeefans.ning.com. There’s some various mp3s in the audio player, such as songs, podcasts, and interviews – so check those out. I think she’ll be doing an exclusive interview with me in the near future, as well.
While Karla and Frank are away on vacation, Anji steps in to keep Karen company via Skype on a special episode of Rumor Girls Uncut. Karen gets the scoop from Anji about her most recent music podcast, Unwind, singing for Lovespirals, future podcasting plans, her bohemian lifestyle near the beach, and much more…
I’ve been popping up on various podcasts lately, which is always fun. Today Adam Curry played my new Help PodShow Suck Less theme song on Daily Source Code #615, yesterday my audio feedback intrigued Eric on Let’s Get Naughty #35, and Tuesday my boy Clarence opened Do You Know Clarence #11 with a special drop I recorded for him. Earlier this week, I introduced “Motherless Child” by my band, Lovespirals, on Sunday Sundown #24 and Ryan and I both introduced the same song for C.C. Chapman’s Accident Hash #231. Come to think of it, I was also on Daily Source Code #613 with a reply to Adam’s crack that I “sent a naked picture.” Sigh…
Adam Curry played our version of “Motherless Child” on his Daily Source Code today, which I just made available for podcasting on his Podsafe Music Network. He also commented that I had emailed him a “nude” photo of myself and a friend… Thought I’d go ahead and share that pic with the world, just to set the record straight. Sexy? Maybe. Nude? Hardly…
I contributed my first 100 word story to Laurence Simon’s fun podcast for his Weekly Challenge #57 with the twin themes of “lingering” and “writer’s block.” It gave me an interesting opportunity to explore my romantic, sensual nature in spoken word, rather than lyrics. I haven’t done any spoken word in years, so it was great to get back into it! Take a listen, and maybe vote for my story over at 100 Word Stories Podcast so I can win a cool refrigerator magnet! Hee hee…
