Today’s musical guest is Copenhagan musician/singer/producer, Vindahl. Ronni returns to the show with a fun new video for “Not In Space,” from his 2011 album, Serendipity. The original music video was created by by Mulyxn (aka Muris Halilović) and Ronni Vindahl, who sent it in to the show. Vindahl holds 3 spots in my Chillcast Top 20 of 2011; 2 tracks from this album, plus one song with his band, Boom Clap Bachelors, who’ve also been featured on Chillcast Video.
This week I’ve got a chilled mix of downtempo, electropop, and deep house with both male and female vocals – sometimes even in duet. This set straddles the line between ambient and pop, if such a line even exists… It feels a bit wintry, but rest assured, there are no holiday songs. This week’s musical guest is the Danish musical collective, Boom Clap Bachelors. “Løb Stop Stå” features Quadron vocalist, Coco O., who stars in the video. Coco is also featured on the new solo album by fellow band member, Vindahl, who I featured earlier this month on Chillcast Video. This track hails from the Mellem Dine Laeber EP, released by Plug Research Music in April of this year. The video was directed by Daniel Kragh-Jacobsen, who made it available as a free download on Vimeo. The song is also a free download on SoundCloud. While putting together today’s play list I seem to have taken a bit of a dark turn. In this one hour set of often pop edged electronica tunes, there is quite a bit of darkness, but there’s also a lot of power.
