I’ve got some good news and some bad news; the good news is that my new remix EP with Karmacoda and Beth Hirsch is now out and I’m featuring 1 of 2 mixes by Mr. Alfa today. The first episode of The Chillcast for 2013 looks back at some of my favorite songs from 2012. Helping to whittle my choices down to just 20, I decided to to focus in on songs which are free to download legally. Anji Bee Collabs with Alfa Kay on “Winter Sun”

Check out the soulful and jazzy “Winter Sun” by Alfa Kay and Anji Bee out now! This track is part of an ongoing project by Venus International, who have created 5 different vocal versions, all of which are free to download on Bandcamp. He hoped this song would help bring awareness to the plight of homeless during the winter months, encouraging listeners to repay the karmic debt of a free download with a favor to those less fortunate during cold winter days, such as the gift of food, clothing, blankets or a kind word.
