In case you haven’t been following my complaints on Facebook or Twitter, I am sick. Boo! But I still took the time to put together an extra special show filled to the brim with LOVE. There were so many great songs that I wanted to share with you that I included a whole half hour extra. The DJ mix styled show (no talking between tracks) is about 50/50 chilled downtempo and upbeat dance tunes featuring oodles of lovely female vocals with romantic lyrics. This has been a really unusual week. I started it out in the desert sweating from a heatwave and ended it by the coast shivering in the wind. Somehow the music in today’s Chillcast is a bit hot and cold, as well. The dance grooves are quite gentle, though the emotions are strong. I didn’t plan it purposely, but there seems to be quite a few breakup songs in the mix. But don’t worry, far from being depressing, the overall feel of this mix is sensual and lush. Look forward to both female and male vocal tunes as well as a few instrumentals. And don’t forget to grab the great free downloads provided by some of the bands below!
Its been raining pretty much non-stop this week in So Ca, with crazy storm cells bursting down heavy rain and wind with thunder, hail, and the occasional twister. So pretty much the opposite of chill around here… I almost skipped the show altogether, but I had too many great songs waiting in my inbox to resist putting together a show for ya. This week I really needed to just take a deep breath, count to 10, and let it all go… Nothing soothes me quite like music and today’s mix really did the trick for me! Look forward to some great vocal pieces as well as some very nice instrumentals, with a blend of downtempo, ambient electronica, worldbeat and crossover pop genres. With a little bit of Buddhist philosophy thrown in for good measure, this episode is sure to get ya chillin’ out. Oh and more than half of these tracks are FREE DOWNLOADS – yay!

A flood of fantastic new music came in over the 4th of July weekend, so this show basically put itself together.
