Youngblood Records Collab with Anji Bee

Tickled that @youngbloodrecords wanted to collab with me for their vintage hardcore found art t-shirt collection! This is one of several pen and ink drawings I made to headline the Scene News section of Positive Influence zine. This particular doodle appeared on the inside cover of issue no 4 and the original piece of art reads, “Scene News For Feb.”

The t-shirt is on preorder now at shop.youngblood-records.com

New Age Records Release Retro Logo Merch

A 1988 illustration by Anji Bee for New Age Records is making a comeback! This pen and ink drawing of a straight edge guy jumping while pumping his fist was used in the early days of this So Cal hardcore punk label. Nearly 3 decades later, the label is dropping tees, hats, and buttons with this iconic drawing that in all honesty, was drawn to look like Anji’s Positive Influence zine partner, Buster Cates. Buy the Unity T-shirt for $18 from newagerecords.net

It All Dies Anyway: L.A., Jabberjaw, and the End of an Era Book Released

A new “coffee table” book collecting stories and ephemera from the infamous LA underground club, Jabberjaw, has been released by Rizzoli Publishing. Anji Bee’s zine SUBSTITUTION had many ties to the club, having been sold at their concessions stand to club patrons, and the zine itself featured a number of show reviews and photographs taken there. Anji and her partner, Sam, even organized an event at Jabberjaw to launch the second issue of SUBSTITUTION. As such, Anji contributed a number of photographs and show flyers — as well as some text — to this archival book organized by club co-owner, Michelle Carr, and assembled by Bryan Ray Turcotte. Check out It All Dies Anyway: LA, Jabberjaw, and the End of and Era on Amazon.
