The first musical guest on Chillcast Video for 2011 is the Australian production duo, Flight Facilities. One of the more intriguing projects of 2010 was certainly “Crave You” featuring Giselle Roselli, and the official video for the original mix is sure to add to the song’s mystique. This video was produced by Moop Jaw, with direction by Rhett Wade-Ferrell and art direction by Kate Dougherty, and was conceived by Warran Wright. Check out “Crave You (Bxcentric Mix)” on Chillcast #212 and my personal fave, “Crave You (Version 2)” on Chillcast #211.
The final 2010 episode of Chillcast Video features a little holiday surprise I put together for you! Three days into editing together footage for this music video I almost gave up, but I’m glad I pushed through and got it completed. Thanks to my Lovespirals partner, Ryan Lum, for his production genius on the tune and filming assistance on the video. I hope you enjoy my new single and video called “Happy Holidays.” You can download this video for FREE from the Lovespirals Vimeo Account. The song is available now on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic and other digital music retailers.
Divasonic is back again on Chillcast Video with another great San Francisco-based musical collaboration with Jaswho?. “Push” hails from the new album, NuDroid Musik, which is the debut album of veteran live musician, Jaswho?. This music video was created by Divasonic using stunning photography by Jessica Vermette of VoxInLux. By the way, after recording my intros I found out I should have pronounced the artist’s name as “Jays-Who” — sorry Jay!
This week’s musical guest is Artemis with Divasonic. These two lovely ladies of electronica from San Francisco make their debut to the vidcast with a brand new collaboration. As I promised on the Chillcast #243, I’ve got the premier of their video for “Truth (Divasonic Cotton Candy Original Version)”. This song is from the duo’s brand new single which includes 8 other fantastic mixes by David G. Earl (aka SFLogicNinja), Colfax, Tyler Stone (Sutro), Daniel Durrett, Celeste Lear, Mijo and Chris James. There are also several very cool limited edition packages to choose from, including the Girls Night Out Package which includes additional remixes and songs by both artists. Check out it all on the Artemis & Divasonic Bandcamp sales page.
I’m pleased to welcome the lovely Samantha James back to Chillcast Video. She last graced the show on Chillcast Video #6 in early 2008! OM Records recently released a video for the title track to her latest album, Subconscious, on Vimeo. Filmed in her hometown of Topanga Canyon, the “Subconscious” video has a cool hippie vibe and Sammy is drop dead gorgeous in it! Be sure to check out the Subconscious Remixes on iTunes for more great mixes of this song by Eric Kupper, Marques Wyatt, Them Jeans, Lee Foss, Nacho Marco, and Strobe. Listen to “Subsconscious (Them Jeans Remix)” on Chillcast #235: Melancholic.
I’m excited to announce the world premier of a brand new video for “Believe” by my band, Lovespirals. I created this video with behind-the-scenes footage taken during writing, recording and production sessions for our album, Future Past. I also included some non-studio footage of Ryan and I filmed during that same time period. We like to think it gives you a better feel for our musical inspirations. “Believe” is our favorite song from the album, so this was a special project to work on. I hope you dig it! Check out the Lovespirals blog post about the HD Video for “Believe.”

I just discovered Bryan Ford‘s music from a new comp called, Organica Lounge, released on his own label, Revolutionary Music. I was so taken by his soulful, jazzy song “Here All Along” – with vocalist Ava Fain, from the band Bumpus – that I’m featuring it on both this month’s vidcast and this week’s audio podcast! This is perfect summertime chillout music, and the video – directed by Andy Shipsides – is gorgeous. The Here All Along Single includes remixes by K Ford, Goulet (whom Ford has been performing live with), Sergio de Blanc, and Ford himself.
