This week my musical guest is British singer/songwriter, Jamie Woon. I discovered him last year when iTunes featured “Lady Luck” as the Single of the Week and have been really enjoying his debut full-length album, Mirrorwriting, which was just released in the US by Verve Music Group. Jamie will be my guest for both episodes of the vidcast this month. I very nearly skipped doing the show today because I have way too much going on right now, but I’m super excited that my new ‘Put Some Music On’ remix EP on 3345 Music went live on iTunes this week, so I had to share that with you. Chillcast Video #77: Shine

Returning to Chillcast Video for the first time in nearly 3 years is Parisian band, Shine. After 2 years of silence, the band is set to release a new album next month. Hooray! Today we’re checking out the gorgeous video for the title track, “Judas and Mary,” featuring the band’s new lead vocalist, Julie Gomel. This video was directed by Cédric Mouilleron aand produced by L.I.P. Collectif; starring the beautiful Alix Bénézech. Shine’s album, Judas and Mary, is due out March 8th 2012 on all digital platforms, so you’ll be hearing more from them on my weekly audio show soon!

‘Put Some Music On EP’ Out Now

Chillcast #303: Chillwave & Lovestep

I hope you all had a lovely Valentine’s Day last week and that you enjoyed my super smooth chillout set which was part of the 5th annual Cupid’s Hunt Collaboration. This week, I’m going for a slightly different mood. Today’s show is still very dreamy and chill, but with a little glitchiness in the mix. I can barely keep up with all the new genre names popping up left and right, but I believe this set contains a lot of chillwave and lovestep – as Tycho likes to call the kinder gentler forms of dub step. There’s also some interesting pop crossover cuts in the mix. Oh, and nearly all of these are free downloads, so grab ’em via the links below!

Returning to the show today is San Francisco artist, Artemis. She just released an animated video for the dreamy Mijo remix of “Easy.” This lovely video was created by Sara Abtahi, an Iranian artist currently living in Germany. Chillcast 90 Min Party Mix

Even though I promised to take last week off from the show, I ended up creating this 90 minute DJ mix with some of my fave fun upbeat retro-edge tracks from the past 2 years. Many of these tunes have been featured on the show, but there’s a few great tunes you’ve not heard before. I put this set together intending to drop it at my all-raw-vegan-desserts birthday party this past Saturday, but I ended up enjoying dancing to Justin and Ryan‘s sets so much that I didn’t get around to it! However, I danced around my kitchen as I created raw brownies, cookies, and pie the night before. Oh, there’s no show intro or outro on this, since its not *technically* a Chillcast, but a DJ set.
