Well it was incredibly tough, but I have whittled down 20 of my favorite tracks of 2011. I could have easily picked out 50, but this set is already 90 minutes long as it is! Now I’ll be the first to admit that this set strays pretty far from the “chillout” genre, but as you know, I listen to all kinds of tunes and this year I was particularly drawn to poignant, intense songs and newly emerging genres, which is reflected in this set. I hope you’ll enjoy these songs as much as I do!

Great list. In terms of personal obsessions over, SBTRKT’s “Wildfire” definitely made my list. Killer tune.

Very impressed that you were able to get yours down to 20. I tried 25 and couldn’t do it, so 30 it is (lol). Another two-parter in my future, but what else is new?

If there had to be just one Anji Bee-related tune to make the list, I’m glad it was “Try To Forget.” That would’ve been my choice. Fantastic tune…
