Singer/songwriter, Paul Mac Innes, is the focus of this week’s special Chillcast artist feature. Paul and I chat about all of his various musical projects and collaborations as we peruse his catalog of tunes from 2005 to the present day. As an extra special treat, Paul shares a brand new unreleased Psaul project track with us. I hope you all enjoyed last week’s overview of my various musical projects from 2011. This week we’re getting back to the classic show format, with a big batch of new releases. Out with the old, and in with the new, they say! As I mentioned last week, I wanted to put together a show highlighting the various releases I was a part of in 2011. I believe I included all but 1 of these 10 tracks in episodes over the past year, but its been nice to step back and assess all the wonderful songs that I was lucky enough to be a part of. Well it was incredibly tough, but I have whittled down 20 of my favorite tracks of 2011. I could have easily picked out 50, but this set is already 90 minutes long as it is! Now I’ll be the first to admit that this set strays pretty far from the “chillout” genre, but as you know, I listen to all kinds of tunes and this year I was particularly drawn to poignant, intense songs and newly emerging genres, which is reflected in this set. I hope you’ll enjoy these songs as much as I do!
