Its been raining pretty much non-stop this week in So Ca, with crazy storm cells bursting down heavy rain and wind with thunder, hail, and the occasional twister. So pretty much the opposite of chill around here… I almost skipped the show altogether, but I had too many great songs waiting in my inbox to resist putting together a show for ya. Enjoy a number of pre-release sneak peeks and free downloads – plus a new recording of The Chillcast theme song by Lovespirals!

“Girl I love you” is cool, superb and spooky. I love it.
Bryan Ferry, the one from Roxy Music, The Space Between? Wow, a great song.
Speaking of rain, it was 102 degrees F here yesterday, then dropped to 75 degrees in two hours after a big rain storm.
i’ve got some more new thievery corp tracks to play. i like one of them fairly well, not sure about the other one, but its a remix, so that’s different, anyway.
yeah, big names have entered the whole free download arena. labels used to look down on that as a sign that the music was of no value, but now they realize the promotional potential.
you know, i was surprised to find that this week-long deluge hasn’t even solved our california drought problem. i heard today that we would need to go through 3 more weeks of this to really get caught back up to where we need to be, water wise!
I’ve heard this song a number of times now but only really stopped to listen to the lyrics this time. Very applicable to your situation!
More and more “known names” are making songs available for podcasting. I’m very curious to know if this is due to the band becoming independent from a label (e.g. Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails) or the labels initiating it.
This Ferry track is very good. I’ll buy that when it comes out. I wonder if the whole album will be like this? The last album was very strident, not coolly relaxing like “Vertigo”. I’d like the change. I’m more of a relaxer!
